Merriewood Children's Center is owned and directed by Diane Kisner. She has a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught child development to parents, teachers, and college students and offers workshops at Merriewood as well.

Staff is hired based on ability to work with children, understanding of child development, and a personality compatible with our philosophy. The staff is hired without regard to race, creed, sex, or age. The ratio of staff to nursery school children is 1:6 and to school age children is 1:8 or 9.
